Fragments of Mending | 2020
We are all picking up the pieces of a world shattered by the Corona Virus. In this new collection, I mend silver with hand-dyed silk thread. The integration of sewing and metal is a symbolic call to unity. A melding of female and male dominated crafts beckoning us to throw away preconceived ideas and unify against this horrible silent virus.

It all started when…
a sprightly silver elephant sprang out of a flat sheet of silver that was cut bent and soldered, just a bit. Instantly, this wee creature, was named Isabelle. A regal name for a charm that begged me to do something bigger than myself.
The creation of the Belle Voir Fund came into being with a goal to raise over $10,000 to educate girls around the globe. To educate a girl will bring her and her community out of poverty. Also, it will save our planet.
