It all started with a girl . . .
. . . who frequently wandered in the woods. She recognized at a very young age that she was more at home in the quiet of the trees with the dancing trickle of a creek and bird songs as companions than anywhere else. That is anywhere else except in a space dedicated to the creation of art and education.
This girl grew up. She lived for pieces of time in large noisy cities and in bustling touristic mountain towns. Teaching, exploring, learning. Always retreating into the open spaces devoid of humans to hear her own voice. Then at an age when many people start thinking about slowing down and retiring, she found herself living on the side of mountain inspired to do more.
Isabelle, the elephant charm, and the Belle Voir Fund emerged effortlessly out the four pillars of this girl’s dreams:
Stewardship to Mother Earth,
the Essential Quality of Education,
the Strength of Women,
and the Power of Art.
